I spent hours reading the rules, learning the mechanics and nuances, played over a days worth of gaming by myself in order to become a better player. This game is demanding and brutal. But I love it.

You can watch how to play and what I think about this great game here, on Youtube http://www.youtube.com/edit?video_id=Itw4Rk9EjYM&ns=1

- Castle Panic
This is a great game with multiple strategic routes. It has a nice balance of simplicity and complexity, with options that keep the game interesting.
- Dominion
Great Beer & Pretzels game. Better like dice rolling, though. Totally nails the zombie theme. Fine for 10 & up. My 10-year old, who's a little sensitive to scary stuff, isn't scared at all by it.
- Last Night on Earth
Very fun deduction/bluffing party game if you have the right group (which is the case for all party games). I wouldn't play it with 5, though. 7-10 players is where it's the best.
- The Resistance
This is the LoTR experience in a box. Mechanics fit the theme. I love playing this, but wish I had the time to commit to playing it more often.
- War of the Ring
Fast medium-light card drafting. I love Bauza's games. Card Sleeves are a must for this one.
- 7 Wonders
I love this game. Man i cant get enough of this. I play it at the coffee shop i work at, play it at bars and love to share it with others!
- Blokus
Omg i played this game last night!
So much fun, but it does take a long time to play one game. First round is a bit confusing but once you play it once its the best game ever
- El Grande
I really like this game. It has a lot of strategy if you really want to play competitively, but the simple game mechanics make it very easy to learn for new players and non-gamers alike
- Citadels
Enjoyable but very long. Have to have a group of people who are focused and willing to see it through to the end.
- Arkham Horror
Brother and I collected and played Netrunner back in the day when it was a CCG. At the time this game was revolutionary with its asymmetric gameplay. The cyberpunk theme is just great, too.
- Android: Netrunner
I didn't realize a game could be this good. A friend brought this over with a bottle of peppermint schnapps and it was amazing. Come to think of it, perhaps my memory of it was shaded by schnapps.
- Jenga
This is the THE game you want to use to rope your friends into playing the better games you've got stowed away. Serious gamers will soon tire of Catan, but it deserves credit as a great ambassador.
- The Settlers of Catan
This is an amazing 2 player wargame. It's not hard to understand the rules of the game, but you'll quickly learn to appreciate the depth this game has to offer. No two playthroughs will be the same.
- Twilight Struggle
The additional gameplay elements (Horses, heating your home, etc.) added to the base game with FotM doesn't add to the enjoyment of the base game. Stick to vanilla Agricola and buy expansion decks.
- Agricola: Farmers of the Moor
A fantastic world-building game that's different every time, Carcassonne will have you raging over not getting that last city piece. Great mechanics, easy setup and breakdown, and above all, cheap!
- Carcassonne
A decent re-skin of Fantasy Flight's Arkham Horror, ATOE is a great game if you like battling against the board. You might go mad trying to keep all the decks together, but the hammy style is charming
- A Touch of Evil
A great game with a great theme: fighting the elder horrors of the Cthulhu mythos. Arkham Horror is quite complex (and as an FFG game, has a ton of pieces), but it's great fun to play for a few hours
