This game is charades with the addition of having to grab the card in time or lose the points. Some are hard, but all are fun and I still laugh when I look back on our past games.

Guesstures
While slightly complex, the fun-to-read rulebook and casual play makes this one of my favorite goofy games. It is always wonderful to watch your ship be blown apart by pirates, slavers and asteroids.

Galaxy Trucker
An deep strategy game of investing and resource control. While the rules seem complex at first, you get the hang of it and the game seems to fly by.

Caylus
This was my favorite card game when I was a kid. The mechanics are goofy and fun, and I still get a kick out of blowing up bombs. Never gets old...

Boom-O
This game is great with 4 players, all competing for position and trying not to get blocked off. Lots of fun, I love playing it two or three times in a row.

Blokus
This game is mafia on steroids with a sci-fi theme. If you loved, hated, or never watched the show, it doesn't matter. This game is the best cooperative challenge.

Battlestar Galactica
We usually don't play by the rules, but trying to answer the questions is always fun. Sometimes it seems like certain questions are much easier than others.

Battle of the Sexes
The perfect party game. I never win this game, but still love trying to get the judge to pick my word.

Apples to Apples
A great strategy game for people who don't like war. With loads of options, this game is different every time.

Agricola
A game that attempts to correct all of the problems that plague RISK. Very similar, deep strategy, but you are always part of the game in Small World. Good for experienced board game players.

Small World
One of my favorite dice games! If you are tired of your typical "roll a bunch a dice" luck game, try this! The cards and special abilities add a whole new dimension to the game!

Probably the best gateway game out there. New players will love it. Easy to pick up and understand, beautiful artwork, and gameplay that is deeper than expected.

Super fun party game where you bluff your way to winning. Helps you to learn about bizarre words and pop culture items you've never heard of before.

Carcassonne
Fantastic card drafting game in which slowly create and diversify your city. Good historical focus as well. It can be a very complex game for experienced played, but new players can play with help.

7 Wonders
Very good combo of tile laying and resource management. Very easy for non-gamers to pick up and play. A great gateway game in that you can help your friends learn as you go along.

Alhambra
My wife beats me every time we play this. Honestly. Its a good mindless game when you still want to carry on a conversation. We usually shorten it though because it gets old after awhile.

My family always played this game growing up. Too fun to make up definitions of zany words that you've never heard of. It stretches your imagination.

A fun party game. Good for a diverse group of people because it involves so many different kinds of "thinking". It always makes us laugh.

Cranium
Even though this game can take awhile to play, it always seems short. you never quite have enough time to get done everything you want to do (kinda like real life I guess?) I enjoy the strategy.
