Classic. I love this game, but only playing with others that like it. The amount of luck associated with dice rolls, and the social aspect of trading properties makes it fun and engaging. MONOPOLY!

Very fast, can be chaotic, and is a good game for good/bad spellers alike since you work off your own letters and can stick with all simple words (in fact it works best that way). Good for quick fun.

I would like to like this more, but too much luck is involved, too random. The game was simple enough, but in the end, I simply have far too many other games that are more fun.
- Munchkin
Adds "duration" cards which last 2 turns, makes it a little more complicated, but if you're experienced with Dominion it shouldn't be a problem. Brings enough new to the game to be worth it.
- Dominion: Seaside
Quality expansion, similar to Intrigue in that it has many interaction cards. Adds the feature of things that happen when you "gain" or "buy" cards. Can't go wrong if you're a Dominion fan.
- Dominion: Hinterlands
Good expansion, but can also be played without base game. Adds more interaction cards that can make for some hostile games:) Includes rules for 5-6 player games which is nice, but games can get long.
- Dominion: Intrigue
Personally my favorite expansion, it adds platinum (5 coins) and Colony (10 VP's), the new kingdom cards put more focus on building your economy than attacking others, makes for a more friendly game.
- Dominion: Properity
Good party game, but definitely depends on the people playing the game. Goofiness is a must, or at least having enough people with a similar sense of humor. Not as much about win/lose as having fun!
- Apples to Apples
Not worth $85, but with that said, I love this game for it's 2 player cat/mouse gameplay. It's pure strategy, and makes for some nervous moments, great game overall. I got this for $10 at local store
- Stratego
I like this best as a 2 player game, definitely after a few expansions have been added. Good amount of strategy mixed with luck, simple enough to learn, and nice for a more laid back gaming session.
- Carcassonne
I've had this game for 5 years, it's still a regular in my gaming rotating. Best with 3 players, gets crowded with 4 but still works well. Good social aspect with trading resources, a must own game!
- The Settlers of Catan
By far one of my favorite games! Relatively easy to learn, but has lots of subtle complexities through the many different possible kingdom card combinations. I love it as a 2 player game also. Great!
- Dominion
Simple game that can span generations. Best played with 3 or 4 players as 2 players becomes too predictable. Easy to teach a new player and good for a light (under hour) play, but not too simple.
- Lost Cities: The Board Game
I agree this is a great intro game. This gets game play for me with my mom who really likes this game because everyone's play and dice roll affects your game without being cutthroat.
- The Settlers of Catan
Overly simple tile placement game. Perfect for a child... too simple for even a teen. We pull this game out (rarely) for a 5 minute break, but would rather play Kuba (2 player), Blokus or Rolit.

Grew up playing Othello with my grandfather. Get the old game board (flat), new ones with ridges are difficult to maneuver your pieces. Mechanics are super simple, but strategy is necessary to win.
- Othello
Grew up playing Othello with my grandfather. This is another great game that can span generations. Mechanics are super simple and easy to teach, but you will take many plays to develop your strategy.
- Blokus
I like some strategy to my game... there is none here. There is nothing here to keep anyone interested. I have seen this game end in arguements over why a particular card was or was not played.

Jump in... buy the Big Box. The expansions add depth to an already enjoyable game. Playable by gamers of all ages and skill. With the expansions it can get to be a long game, but never boring.
