A luck based game that can be easily won by observing your opponents needs and using them to your advantage.

For me it's more of a strategy game. It really doesn't matter what cards you have, it's about who the reader is. Should it be something that's funny or soemthing that fits. It depends on the person.
- Apples to Apples
Best way to get someone started in boardgaming. Very easy to understand and, although very luck driven, has enough strategy in it. One player will always end up screaming and raging. Dices are evil.
- The Settlers of Catan
Always hilarious. Just make sure you have the right group of people. You can't be bashful an play this game. Try some of the optional rules to spice the game up. Playing with Rando is the best.
- Cards Against Humanity
It's a fun game. Cons: It takes too much space on the table. It's a bit hard to overlook what the other players are doing and the rule of switching turn-directions is confusing but can be left out.
- 7 Wonders
A great mix of mechanics and an awesome theme. The board, cards, and pieces are beautiful. The Hades expansion adds some nice layers of depth and balances out a couple of the overpowered creatures.
- Cyclades
If you like Risk at all, you *must* try this version. Even if you don't, it's worth checking out. The way the game changes as you play it is truly unique. Also, games take 1-2 hours now, not 1-2 days.
- Risk Legacy
The place to start for all "deck-building" games and still one of our favorites. Detractors deride the simplicity, but sometimes simple is good!
- Dominion
Awesome! Ninjas vs. Robots vs. Knights vs. Dragons vs. just about anything you can think of. Great minis, terrain and dice. Discontinued... but if you can find it at a reasonable price, get it!
- Heroscape: Rise of the Valkyrie
Simple rules and setup. Asymmetric but balanced armies. Light deck building, if you like, but I have not needed that feature. This has become one of my top games!
- Summoner Wars: Master Set
A simple co-op tower defense game. Without the expansion set, Castle Panic is a bit too light. But with the addition on the Wizard's Tower you will have a much better experience.
- Castle Panic
This game will destroy you and your friends. On the "normal" difficuly setting you will not survive. That being said, there is no better feeling thatn saving the world from the vicious outbreak.
- Pandemic
This is the ultimate board game for AGoT fans. The game mechanics reflect the theme of the books. Playing this game with fans of the series is a blast. A must own for strategy gamers.
- A Game of Thrones: The Board Game, 2nd Edition
Great strategy game. It's fun to pick from the race/ability combinations. If you're a real addict you can also get the app on an iPad, it's a 2 person game so the strategy is a little different.
- Small World
This is one of my favorite games! It can be played in a couple different scenarios, so it never gets old. Work as a team or against each other to kill some zombies.
- Last Night on Earth
A very fun party game. How could you not love, singing, humming, sculpting, sketching, & trivia all in one game?
- Cranium
Wings of Glory is a realistic airplane fighter game that is hours of entertainment! Love the scenarios and head-to-head combat!

A great twist on the deck-building genre, Quarriors has you purchasing dice to add to your bag. Use your dice to summon creatures or purchase more dice. Oodles of colorful dice! Neat tin container!
- Quarriors!
Intense game that pits humans versus cylons. Try to defend or sabotage Galactica as you search for Earth. But wait! You might have been a frakin' toaster all along! Great disaster management co-op
- Battlestar Galactica
A great co-op with a great theme, Arkham Horror pits investigators against Ancient Ones and their sinister plot against humankind. Dice-rolling, item-collecting, character-tweaking fun!
