Fun game, best w 5-7 people. I wish they would ditch all the symbols & just use text on the cards, extra cost be damned. Hard for non-gamers to remember everything but play it enough and you'll learn.

Initially innovative, but now there are other games that do the same thing so much better (Say Anything, Cards Against Humanity). Too often, you get stuck w/ bad cards.

Resisted trying this game for so long; I thought no way my non-gamer friends would like it. Wrong!!! I recommend revealing cards one at a time for more interaction & to help people learn the game.

Great economic and resource management game. A little mathy when trying to add things up but very intense and fun. Best with 4.
- Power Grid
Great game! Easy to teach and lots of fun with non gamers. Very strategic.

Your grandma probably loves this game. Basic strategy game with some wonderful card mechanics thrown in the mix. This is a great family game that has a bit more meat to it.

Power Grid is wonderful next level game for those who have mastered the gateway games. This is a real brain-burner with tons of depth and an amazing auction mechanic thrown in for good measure.

There's so much Dominion out there to play, you could devote an entire game collection just to its many expansions. An all-time classic that blends CCG's and board game mechanics in a masterful way.

Kingdom Builder has Spiel des Jahres all over it from the start. It has the perfect balance of simple room and depth of strategy. There's tons of replay value with many board and Kingdom Cards.

Agricola is one of the all time greats. It can be a bit tricky to pick up, but offers an amazing and strategic experience once you do. There's a reason why it's considered one of the best of all time.

I love this game. The dominance mechanics make sense and provides challenges in gameplay, the rotating action placement guarantees minimal downtime and allows you to plan ahead to minimize AP.
- Dominant Species
All time favorite. It's all about the strategy, but if the dice do not work, you lose. Map building, army building, awesome sculpts. Awesome game to play!
- Heroscape: Rise of the Valkyrie
Simple deck building game. You're able to buy and kill as much as you are able too. Sometimes luck favors you, sometime it doesn't favor you. Otherwise strategy overcomes luck.
- Ascension: Chronicle of the Godslayer
One of the best and most beautiful tile-laying games. Very simple rules (though scoring varies from set to set). Great gateway game!

Best game around for 7 people. Some friends played on their wedding night until 2 or 3 am! Just try not to take the game too personally!

Good gateway game. Simple rules, and just enough interaction. The tiles are nice too. :)
- Alhambra
A great, but simple game that doesn't take long to play and can be enjoyed by almost anyone. Perfect filler or time killer.
- Tsuro
Quick and easy to play. With only a few dice for components it can be played virtually anywhere. It is a press your luck game of risk vs reward.
- Zombie Dice
This game overs alot or replayability though it's random character elements and the number of expansions out. A very good game!
- Small World
Grandad of boardgames, released in 1963, it is based mostly on luck and not much strategy. But it's work a play through.
