Always a fun game with the family, and always brings out the competitive (and risk taking) spirit. Good times.
- Greed
One of the greatest games ever. Nothing better than a bit of friendly competition. Quick, fun and always on my table.
- Uno
Although I have only played this game solo, it is truly awesome. Lots of luck involved from dice throws to cards turned over. But enjoyable as a adventure.
- Arkham Horror
A new classic that can be taught to a new player in a single round of play; yet the strategy is very deep. It's very fun to play it with friends, but so much more fun to play friends with it!
- Acquire
Acquire is my personal favorite game. It blends elements of Monopoly and Risk, but no one loses money in the game. The rules are not complicated, but to understand the strategy takes time.
- Acquire
I grew up with this game and it always accompanied us on long camping trips. Great rainy day game for the family.
- Sequence
Great game that is a totally new experience each time you play it. The planet setup is the truly unique part of the game. Be prepared for a long gaming session, though.
- StarCraft: The Board Game
Very strategic- has a rock paper scissors mechanic, but still very fun. Heavily military type game.
- Warcraft: The Board Game
Great game to play with a group- not as intense as a table top role playing game, but very complex nonetheless.
- World of Warcraft: The Board Game
The old-but-good wargame I played with my dad growing up. Fun and simple, yet strategic enough. Lots of dice rolling so hope you bring your 6s.
- Risk
This game is hard! I love it, but I rarely win and am still learning to play it. Perhaps the hardest part is trying to visualize since it is a card game. Still, a great game.
- Race for the Galaxy
While others may see this as the "perfect" strategy game, I don't like it simply because it completely lacks any fun theme or feel. The art is bland and the mechanics kind of boring.
- Puerto Rico
A great game to play with grandma and grandpa, or the whole family. I honestly play with more with my grandparents than anyone else!
- Phase 10
My wife and I bought this as our first new game, and we have never regretted it. A great co-op game with lots of difficulty options.
- Pandemic
A classic. I never realized how deeply strategic the game could be until I got older.
- Monopoly
A fun and in depth pirate game. It seems a bit unbalanced toward the merchant side, but it's still fun to run around the Caribbean and try to pirate other players.
- Merchants & Marauders
Listening to your teammates struggle to figure out the phrase, even while they are saying it is great.
"Mech-See-Ko-Seedy"
"Exactly"
"Huh, what did I say"
- Mad Gab
The best zombie game on the market. I love the artwork, although it is a bit horrifying.
- Last Night on Earth
A good dexterity game. Played a lot as a kid, but not too much anymore. Great for families.
- Jenga
My all-time, hands-down favorite game ever created. I love the map building, army building and scenario building. It is so customizable, even though the core rules are simple! Outstanding game!
- Heroscape: Rise of the Valkyrie
